We are continuing to offer weekly club training runs in compliance with England Athletics guidance for Step 4 of the Government's Covid Roadmap to recovery.
Please observe the safety measures listed below, remembering that we need to prevent the spread of the virus, not only between each other but also indirectly between us and vulnerable groups that we may come into contact with.
Groups are currently meeting at different times – check the details of scheduled runs below. The aim is for each session to last about an hour (in general, a longer distance means the coach/leader will run at a faster pace).
Groups should be no larger than 1 coach/leader and 10 other runners.
The sign-up system is first come first served. If all 10 slots are filled, you can add your name to the waiting list, in case anyone drops out.

COVID SAFETY MEASURES

Do NOT take part in any club activities if you have symptoms of Covid-19 (high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell), or suspect you have symptoms of Covid-19, or have tested positive for Covid-19, or have come into close contact with anyone who has symptoms of Covid-19 or has tested positive for Covid-19.

Any club member who has attended a session and subsequently either develops symptoms of Covid-19 (high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to their sense of taste or smell), receives a positive test result or shares a household/support bubble with someone who has developed symptoms of Covid-19 or received a positive test result MUST inform the Club Covid Coordinators by email at covid@lewesac.co.uk and follow the guidance set out on EA’s Covid-19 Flow Chart for Managing Confirmed or Suspected Cases.

When signing up for any club run, please:
1. Ensure that the name and phone number of your Contact (the person to call in case of an emergency) are up to date on our Love Admin database: https://app.loveadmin.com/sign-in
2. Bring with you either your mobile phone or a piece of paper/wristband with the name and phone number of your Contact
3. Wash your hands before leaving the house and carry hand sanitiser with you

4. Maintain social distancing (currently 1m-plus) at all times – before, during and after the session
5. Be aware that heavy breathing - as happens when we run! - produces the large respiratory droplets that carry the virus
6. Be considerate of your fellow members: even if you personally now feel relaxed about Covid, remember that others may still be nervous about close physical contact (and there should be no hugging, hand-shaking etc, except by mutual agreement)
7. Be especially considerate of walkers, and pass them at a good distance, even if you have to stop running to do so
NB: All coaches/leaders will carry hand sanitiser, gloves and a mask with them so that they can help if there is any need for hands-on support in the case of accident or injury.

By entering your name below, you are declaring that you, your household and/or your support bubble are, to the best of your knowledge, currently Covid-free and that you have read and will abide by the Club’s Covid Safety Measures listed above.
